What is HX&MX VoIP Gateway Default Password?

You can enter the login interface for device configuration by selecting your role (Administrator/ Operator) and entering a password on the login interface. 



The Default Password to Log in to the Web GUI

For HX4G/MX8G, the default administrator password is a random password (8 digits). You can see it on the bottom of the device.  
For MX60E, the default administrator password is “mx60” (lowercase letters required).
For MX120G, the default administrator password is “mx120” (lowercase letters required).
For MX100G-S, the default administrator password is “mx100” (lowercase letters required).

The default operator password is "operator".

Please change the default password after the first time logging in to the Web utility to keep it secure. 


Change Password

Go to Security > Access page, change administrator password or operator password. Only an administrator is allowed to change passwords.
Set the administrator/operator password by entering the current password.
The password must meet the following requirements:
- 8 to 16 characters
- At least two of the following: letters, numbers, and symbols
- Excluding &, =, and “ 
Please change the initial password at first time login.


 

How to log in to the Web GUI?

To log in to the Web GUI, please perform the following procedures:
-  Use a CAT5 cable to connect the PC port or ETH1/ETH2 port of the device to your PC.
-  Obtain the IP address of the device.
-  Make sure that the PC and the device are on the same network segment.
-  Enter the device IP address in the browser address bar (e.g. default: 192.168.2.218).
-  Select your role and enter the password into the device. (please refer to What is HX&MX VoIP Gateway Default Password).
-  Be sure to change the password after the first log in. If the Web browser for risk action, select “allow”.
